HR Shared Services Specialist

Job Summary 60,000 to $65,000 per year. The HR Shared Services Specialist will assist with carrying out various human resources programs and procedures companywide, specifically focusing on overall employee experience. Will partner with HR Directors to provide support with talent management efforts, data analysis and ongoing HRIS automation needs. Responsibilities Drive the transformation of the employee and manager experience through improved customer service, automation, and self‑service opportunities offered by Flagship. Assist the department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees. Optimize HR processes and ensure all HR related paperwork is completed. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance. Oversee HR Systems to ensure compliance and provide best system support. Work on, or run, acquisition due diligence and integration. Coordinate leave of absence administration process with the benefits team. Partner with the benefits team, answering employee inquiries regarding the total reward package. Conduct monthly new hire audits and work closely with hiring managers on the offboarding process. Champion the culture and develop action plans to ensure a positive, engaging, and supportive workplace; promote diversity and inclusion as part of the culture. Oversee high‑quality performance management processes, documenting goals, addressing performance issues, and developing and challenging team members to exceed expectations. Other duties as assigned and requested. Knowledge and Skills Strong customer service focus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Thorough understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures. Ability to function well in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to effectively utilize all Microsoft Office applications and various HR software programs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources, business, psychology, or related field. Three to five years of relevant experience; HR experience preferred, including in‑depth knowledge of all employment and labor laws. Work Environment Small‑to‑large work environment. Fast‑paced work environment. Occasional large group events such as job fairs, community centers, learning institutes. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and kitchen environments. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing and occasionally lifting a minimum of 40 lbs. of office or facilities equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
