Rock Ridge Public Schools is accepting applications for two 1.0 FTE High School Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. Position: Special Education Teacher - High School (2 Positions Available) 1.0 FTE Location: Special Education Setting-4 Center-Based Program Start Date: August 24, 2026 (or as negotiated) Salary and Benefits: $47,598 - $90,420 (Pay and benefits follow the Education Minnesota Rock Ridge Local #7394 Collective Bargaining Agreement). Position Overview: Rock Ridge Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to serve in a High School Setting II/IV center-based program supporting students with significant academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Program Description: This program provides intensive instruction, behavioral supports, and transition-focused programming including life skills, vocational readiness, and post-secondary planning. Staffing Structure: Programming aligns with Minnesota center-based service expectations. Setting III programs operate with lower ratios, while Setting IV programs require intensive staffing supports, often approximating 1-3 staff-to-student ratio or greater based on IEP needs. Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field Knowledge of IEPs, behavior strategies, and compliance requirements Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Setting III or IV programs Experience with secondary transition programming CPI training or similar Experience with FBAs, BIPs, and trauma-informed practices Essential Duties: Provide individualized instruction aligned to IEPs Implement behavior supports and interventions Support transition planning (college, career, independent living) Collaborate with staff, families and agencies Ensure compliance and documentation Perform other duties as assigned Application Process: Please include a letter of interest, resume, and licensure.
