Shift: Fulltime alternating 12-hour night shifts (6pm-6:30am). Work three days one week, four days the next week. Off every other weekend.

Starting Rate: $32.50 per hour

Description: Maintenance Technicians play an important role at Diary Farmers of America in ensuring that all equipment is operating effectively and efficiently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and/or repairs to production and processing equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment, following all safety procedures.

• Support the installation of new equipment.

• Set up and adjust controllers (primarily Allen-Bradley).

• Assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.

• Ensure all repairs are documented.

• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

• Follow all DFA GMP's. Clean work areas upon completing a project and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

Education and experience: High school diploma/GED or Technical School. Minimum of 3 years skilled industrial maintenance experience. Strong electrical background. Prior experience in a food or bottling manufacturing environment a plus.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Basic math skills

• Familiar with and have working knowledge of equipment

• Ability to interpret simple to complex blueprints and schematics.

• Proficient in preventative maintenance, over-hauls, modification and fabrication. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Must possess training / experience in at least two or more of the following areas:o PLC's and PLC programmingo Single and three phase industrial electricity and control systemso AC/DC drive Systemso Pneumatics / hydraulics systemso Welding practices and techniqueso Machining /fabricating practices and techniqueso Industrial boiler operationso Water Treatment Systemso HVAC Systems
