Geriatrician - Faculty Role

Job Description

Combine patient care and teaching in a purpose-built outpatient setting! A respected academic medical center is seeking a full-time Geriatrician (MD/DO) to join its geriatrics division as core faculty, caring for Brooklyn’s diverse older adult community while helping shape the next generation of physicians.

What You’ll Do:

\n

\n
• Provide primary care to older adults in a brand-new, multispecialty outpatient facility next to the main hospital
\n
• Teach and supervise internal medicine residents and geriatrics fellows as core faculty
\n
• Take part in quality improvement efforts, M&M conferences, and hospital-wide initiatives
\n
• Help improve how geriatric care is delivered across the health system
\n
• Pursue academic projects tied to your own clinical interests, with research opportunities available
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and a wide range of stakeholders
\n

What You’ll Bring:

\n

\n
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
\n
• Fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine
\n
• Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, and in Geriatrics (board-eligible physicians must sit for boards at the earliest opportunity)
\n
• Unrestricted NY medical license
\n
• Strong teaching skills and excellent English communication
\n
• New fellowship graduates are welcome to apply
