Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) a private, hospital-based Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its collaborative Hospitalist team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced Hospitalists, specialists, nursing staff, and an interdisciplinary team caring for medically complex patients. With an average patient length of stay of 25-30 days, providers have the unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while witnessing their recovery firsthand. Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care in accordance with hospital standards to provide efficient, effective, and high-quality care. The APP practices within the scope of their professional licensure and collaborates daily with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to manage medically complex and critically ill patients. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Manage the care of medically complex and critically ill patients. Provide direct patient care while collaborating with Hospitalists, specialists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team. Document patient care accurately and in accordance with hospital standards. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Support evidence-based practice through clinical expertise, education, consultation, and quality improvement initiatives. Practice within the scope of licensure while maintaining compliance with all applicable state regulations and professional standards. Qualifications Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Missouri, or eligibility for Missouri licensure. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. National certification appropriate to licensure. One to three years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in hospital medicine, critical care, ICU, emergency medicine, or medical-surgical settings. Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification required or obtainable within 90 days of hire. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
