Job Details: Schedule: 12a-830a Tuesday-Saturday rotational Saturday Location: Miramar, FL 33025 Job Type: [Travel contract / local contract / permanent/ per diem] Contract Length: 3 Months Pay Range: 19 to 20.64/hr Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Basic PurposeResponsible for general support functions within the Technical Operations Department, including specimen processing and handling.Key ResponsibilitiesSort, rack, centrifuge, aliquot, store, and deliver specimens to the laboratory.Verify specimen types, quantities, handling requirements, and test orders.Identify and resolve issues related to specimens, missing information, and test orders.Perform data entry and required documentation accurately and timely.Research test information using computer systems, translation tables, and the Directory of Services.Meet quality and production standards after completing training.Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow 5S standards.Follow all safety, compliance, biohazard, and work process policies.Support department staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.Perform additional duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED.Minimal data entry skills.Good organizational and communication skills.Medical background and clinical laboratory terminology preferred.Previous production environment experience preferred.Familiarity with mainframe computers preferred.Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to change.Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and maneuver carts/racks containing specimens.Pride-Health offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
