QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Inspection, Test, QA, and Training Division, Lifting and Handling Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will make recommendations and/or establish changed to maintenance procedures as needed. You will follow basic accepted engineering practices or directions from provided by senior engineers. You will be responsible for the control of crane and railroad track outages. You will maintain data bases associated with crane maintenance work such as: work documents and tagging databases. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 or GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision, such as: 1. Weight handling and lifiting. 2. Write concise technical procedures, instructions, and standards. 3. Prepare training aids.
