About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development and Communications to join its senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive strategy that enhances the organization's brand and mission impact while ensuring the growth of its revenue streams. This role involves overseeing all fundraising, partnership development, and communication activities, with a focus on maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing funders and forging new ones. The VP will also be tasked with designing and implementing a resource development plan that integrates communication strategies to ensure public awareness, brand consistency, and donor engagement. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' professional experience in a nonprofit setting, with a proven track record in development and leadership in communication functions. The role requires the ability to construct and implement an annual strategic development and communications plan, as well as experience with corporate donors and government contracts. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree or equivalent experience, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, and a strong customer focus. A deep passion for the organization's mission, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Familiarity with various digital tools and a commitment to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism are also necessary.
