As a Security Officer Patrol Response Associate in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring a caring, reliable approach, work as part of a team, and act with integrity while adapting to daily needs.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to control access, observe visitor activity, and document security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Support daily operations at an educational government location by reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related issues and preparing clear, accurate activity and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
