Advance Practice Provider

Advance Practice Provider to provide medical care for our adult inpatient and Primary Care patients.

FTE: 0.05 PRN Shift: Days

Position Summary: Assures that all admission, discharge and transfer functions interface to the command/FMS data systems. Ensures adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.

Detailed responsibilities:

• LOG - Maintain canceled admission log, coordinating with UR and the Business Office; inform the Business Office of incorrect or duplicate accounts that have been issued
• REPORTS - Complete the AM census and VIP list for distribution to administration
• SYSTEMS MONITORING - Monitor problems with the ACTION system and report same to DP
• TRAINING - Train staff on the use of Harmony
• CENSUS - Coordinate with budget department and area directors to keep census information current
• REPORTS - Create and modify reports on SMS software, i.e., daily census, VIP list, OOCI log
• AUDIT - Develop, oversee and conduct various routine and special audits, research and correct data to maintain integrity of programs

Qualifications

Education: Essential: High School or GED Equivalent

Experience: Essential: 3 years directly related experience Nonessential: No preferred experience

Physical Conditions: Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
