The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and a deep understanding of the end-to-end product development cycle. Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience in mechanical design, with a willingness to accept 4-8 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Creo Tool Knowledge (Surfacing, GD&T, DFX, DFA, Automotive design experience).
- Hands-on experience with plastic, sheet metal, and casting components.
- Proven experience in designing sheet metals and plastic parts.
- Prior work experience in the automotive industry.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
- Ability to work independently on design conceptual jobs.
- Knowledge of phases of the design process and development process for automotive components, including drafting, dimensioning, tolerancing, prototyping, ECN, PPAP, and documenting results.
- Experience with automotive product design, sheet metal press tools, fixture and gauge design, reverse engineering, Stack-Up, VAVE.
- Generate concept models using Creo-Part, Assembly, and Surfacing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.
- Participate in the full product lifecycle from concept to production.
