Responsibilities Devereux Florida provides services to children and adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral health needs who live on site while in treatment. The position ensures client care by providing medications, ensuring regular medical checkups, keeping medical files up to date, and maintaining open communication with clients’ families and medical staff (doctors, therapists, other nurses). The role supports a therapeutic environment while ensuring the safety and well‑being of the individuals served. Schedule 12 hour shifts (7am - 7pm) or 8 hour shifts (3pm - 11pm) Must be available for 1 weekend shift per week Schedule is full‑time or part‑time with flexible options. Compensation & Benefits Salary: Starts at $23.00 - $26.22 /hr (rate increases based on education and relevant experience) Up to $7.50 shift differentials for evenings and weekends Up to 24 PTO days per year (increases with service) Up to 64 hours of sick time Low‑cost medical, dental, vision, 403(b) retirement plan ASCEND Tuition Program Student loan repayment assistance Payactiv: access earned wages early Employee Assistance Program & Discounts Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Associate’s Degree or Diploma (required) Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida Other Requirements Must complete a two‑week new hire orientation class in Titusville, FL (Mon‑Fri, 9am‑5pm) 2 years of nursing experience or prior experience in DJJ, IDD, or psychiatric population (preferred) Valid Florida driver's license Must be at least 21 years of age or older Pass pre‑employment medical screenings: drug test, physical, TB test Proficient in nursing assessment skills and basic software programs Pass Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida Devereux has a zero‑tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
