We are excited to announce a job opportunity for the position of Floor Manager within the Trading Post. This position is available for both internal and external candidates.
Location: Garden of the Gods Trading Post
Compensation: $22.00-25.00 an hour
Job Description
The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in the store, ensuring an outstanding customer experience, and driving sales growth. In this role, they lead and inspire a team of sales associates, uphold the highest store standards, and foster a positive, high-energy environment. By demonstrating a strong sense of urgency, they ensure the successful execution of the mission and vision of the Colorado Retail Collection, contributing to a dynamic and results-driven atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate promptly with the Operations Managers about operational issues, concerns, and ideas.
- Managers are expected to understand and run all stores and be able to cover different locations as needed.
- Assist with and perform open and close duties at the Trading Post and other locations as needed.
- Address customer concerns, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Supervise team members and Supervisors by modeling a culture of positive customer service and goal-oriented teamwork.
- Establish a strong culture of accountability by delegating responsibilities, ensuring tasks are completed to standards, and providing ongoing coaching and support.
- Act as a liaison and support for Supervisors, emphasizing customer-focused, team-oriented development.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve issues quickly.
- Collaborate with other Managers to monitor and evaluate employee performance, including attendance, work ethic, and overall productivity, ensuring the store operates efficiently and meets customer service standards.
- Assist in the onboarding and development of new hires.
- Communicate operational updates, concerns, and changes across all stores.
- Partner with the Operations Managers to optimize store operations and visiting locations as needed based on seasonal demands.
- Troubleshoot IT and POS issues, provide solutions in collaboration with Supervisors.
- Monitor and train on cash handling procedures, including drawer counts, safe handling, and deposits.
- Maintain commissions log and uphold confidentiality of all sensitive and monetary information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable labor laws.
- Address and document employee relations issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Must be a current Supervisor, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a manager or in a similar retail leadership role.
- Strong coaching skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and sales techniques.
- Confidentiality requirement on personnel issues, compensation, and all other sensitive matters.
- Ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
