Senior Financial Analyst

Financial AnalystAt Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As a Financial Analyst, you'll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.The role:Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities for plant cost centres, including headcount and people costs.Provide timely variance analysis, cost reporting and forecasting insights throughout the month-end close process.Deliver clear management reporting on production and overhead costs, including Monthly Operating Report submissions.Partner with plant operations and finance stakeholders to identify trends, risks and opportunities through detailed analysis.Review production costs, standard cost allocations and cost variances to support improved business performance.Build strong relationships across operational, commercial and technical teams to support accurate financial reporting.Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:University degree qualification and a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, CIMA or equivalent.Strong experience in management accounting, cost analysis and financial planning within manufacturing.Understanding of production costing, variance analysis and financial performance drivers.Ability to challenge constructively, influence stakeholders and provide actionable business insights.Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Experience within the chemicals, automotive or related industrial sectors would be advantageous.Even if you only match some of the skills, we'd love to hear from you to discuss further!What we offer:We make sure salaries are fair, competitive and aligned to individual roles, experience and responsibilities.
