Senior Manager, R&D, RF Device NPD

Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Senior Manager for R&D in radiofrequency device new product development. Lead an electrical hardware design team, oversee project delivery, and mentor engineers while developing innovative implantable heart failure management technologies in Irvine, California.
Responsibilities
- Lead core R&D team in electrical hardware design and provide technical mentoring
- Manage project deliverables, timelines, scope, and risk mitigation strategies
- Oversee assigned team performance with budgetary accountability and talent development planning
- Develop design recommendations integrating into moderate-complexity components or products
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to resolve operational and scheduling issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Experience with RF devices and radiofrequency technologies
- Background working in regulated medical device industry
- Electrical Engineering degree strongly preferred
- Experience developing RF handheld or Class II/III medical devices
- Demonstrated team management and informal mentoring capabilities
- Proven project management and cross-functional leadership skills
Compensation: $139,000–$196,000 base
