Compensation

We pay for skill and performance.

ASE-certified technicians: starting at $50+ per flagged hour.

GM-certified technicians: starting at $55+ per flagged hour.

Flat-rate compensation is based on qualifications, applicable certifications, experience, and dealership pay policies.

At our minimum weekly production expectation of 45 flagged hours, the following illustrates potential gross flat-rate compensation:

Illustrations are based on 45 compensated flagged hours every week for 52 weeks. Actual earnings depend on completed and payable flagged hours, applicable pay-plan provisions, and other factors. These are examples, not guaranteed earnings.

We offer an annual retention bonus for eligible technicians who continue building their careers with Bridgewater Chevrolet.

We don't want to hire you for a few months.

We want to give great technicians reasons to stay for years.

Retention bonus amounts and eligibility are governed by dealership program terms.

10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Five-day scheduled workweek

Every Sunday off

Your other scheduled day off will be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday

Responsibilities

30 championship expectations

These aren't suggestions. They define our standard.

Production and efficiency

Minimum 45 flagged hours weekly. Our performance expectation is 45 quality flagged hours per week. That is the starting line, not the finish line. We expect every technician to strive for improvement and greater production.

Own your numbers. Know how many hours you've flagged, your efficiency, the work you have in progress, and what you need to accomplish.

Be ready at 10:00 AM. Arrive prepared, organized, and ready to start your scheduled workday. Punctuality and reliability matter.

Maximize productive time. Eliminate avoidable downtime, unnecessary distractions, and inefficient work habits. Your time is valuable.

Don't cherry-pick jobs. Work assigned repair orders according to dispatch procedures, qualifications, and shop priorities. Great teammates don't expect everyone else to handle the difficult work.

Keep work moving. Communicate when a vehicle is waiting on parts, authorization, diagnosis, or technical assistance. Help the team keep work flowing rather than allowing preventable delays.

Quality and craftsmanship

Fix it right the first time. Accurate diagnosis, proper repairs, and verification of completed work are mandatory.

Take ownership of comebacks. Mistakes must be reported and corrected professionally. Learn from them rather than blame someone else.

Follow GM repair standards. Use approved procedures, repair information, proper tools, specifications, and technical resources.

Perform a complete video multi-point inspection. Every inspection should be accurate, thorough, and focused on actual vehicle needs and safety.

Never sell or recommend unnecessary work. Customer trust is earned through honesty. We don't sacrifice integrity to generate revenue.

Verify your work. Complete required checks, road tests when appropriate, and quality-control procedures before returning the vehicle.

Accountability and discipline

Follow the repair order process. Correct documentation, time punches, authorization, repair notes, and required procedures must be completed properly.

Communicate delays immediately. Service advisors and management should never have to guess why a vehicle is still in the shop.

Finish what you start. Complete assigned work or provide a documented status and proper handoff when a vehicle cannot be finished.

Take responsibility for your results. Accountability isn't about excuses. It's about ownership, learning, and improvement.

Maintain a clean and safe workspace. Keep your bay, equipment, tools, and surrounding areas organized and professional.

Protect every customer's vehicle. Use proper protective equipment and coverings. Prevent avoidable damage and maintain cleanliness.

Culture and teamwork

No toxic drama. No gossip, bullying, harassment, intimidation, or deliberate disruption. Disagreements and legitimate concerns must be handled respectfully.

Respect every teammate. Parts employees, service advisors, porters, warranty administrators, managers, and technicians all contribute to the team's success.

Bring solutions. When you identify a problem, speak up professionally and participate in solving it.

Help other technicians improve. Share knowledge, support teammates when possible, and help create a stronger shop.

Be coachable. Experience doesn't eliminate the need for growth. Accept feedback and use it to improve.

Put the team ahead of your ego. Individual results matter, but never at the expense of another technician, a customer, or the dealership.

Professionalism and leadership

Be dependable. Consistently meet your schedule, communicate attendance issues, and honor professional commitments.

Continue your education. Complete required GM training and pursue technical certifications relevant to your responsibilities.

Demonstrate integrity. Tell the truth, accurately document your work, and do what's right even when no one is watching.

Respect customer time. Treat promised completion dates seriously, avoid preventable delays, and communicate realistic progress.

Bring consistent effort every day. Championship performance is built through daily habits, not occasional bursts of motivation.

Raise the standard around you. Your work ethic, attitude, professionalism, and willingness to help should positively influence the entire service department.
