The CVICU RN serves as a liaison between physicians and patients, advocating for patient welfare and communicating essential information to families. Duties include daily patient care and ensuring smooth recovery. Administer care for patients following open‑heart surgery. Provide treatment and ongoing care for heart transplant patients. Educate patient families on ongoing care needs. Qualifications Active RN license. Degree from an accredited nursing program. Valid BLS & ACLS certifications.
