About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 Years Preferred License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: - ACLS - AWHONN Intermediate - BLS - NRP Must-Have Skills: - Labor & Delivery - LDRP - Pitocin (Oxytocin) - Recover C-Section - Starting and Maintaining IVs - Triage of Obstetrical Patients Description: Responsible for providing nursing care in labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and level II nursery settings. Required to be on call for 36 hours in a 6-week block. Staffing ratios include 1:1 for complications or active labor, 1:3 for antepartum stable patients, and 2:1 for delivery involving both mother and baby. Must assist with procedures associated with obstetrics, including versions, induction of labor, cervical ripening, and bereavement care. Will float outside of specialty area and assist as needed using general nursing skills. Responsibilities include caring for diverse patient populations, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Required to work weekends and cover holidays as scheduled. Adhere to infection control standards and maintain medical records using required charting systems. Must comply with facility policies regarding THC and fit testing requirements.
