Cashier

Job Description Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They process checkout and return transactions, and monitor and maintain the Self‑Checkout area. Cashiers proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities, while following all policies and procedures to minimize shrink. Key Responsibilities Process checkout and return transactions, and maintain the Self‑Checkout area. Provide product information and identify selling opportunities. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures to minimize shrink. Position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks. Approve point‑of‑sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self‑Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. Provide first‑level escalation for customer issues. Assist in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates and new Cashiers. Qualifications 1+ years of cashier experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
