Dishwasher

Job Summary Properly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, utensils and pots. Responsible for maintaining the dish room area, floors and the dish machine in a clean and sanitary condition. Assists with the cleaning of other areas of the restaurant as requested. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Operates dish machines to company and manufacturer specifications. Uses proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer in the dish machine and the pot washing sinks. Adds salt to the water softener as needed. Restocks all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans. Removes garbage, cardboard boxes, cleans and sanitizes garbage cans as needed. Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes the dish machine at the end of a shift. Keeps dish and other storage areas clean and organized. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef. Other duties as requested or assigned. Working Conditions This position will spend 100% of the time standing. Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water. Educational, Physical, and Other Requirements Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse. The individual must be able to transport up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds on occasion. Physical requirements may include frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift, stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and smell. Vision abilities may require close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employees must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
