If you want to be part of a team that will learn and grow, develop leadership skills, drive results quickly, work within a safety-first mindset, and expand your technical capabilities, then GMI is a great place to start!What We Have to Offer$19.61/hour starting pay$1.00/hour additional pay for 2nd shiftUp to 120 hours (15 days) vacation annually (depending on schedule)11 paid company holidays401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, life insuranceCareer growth and cross-training opportunitiesYour Work Schedule and Shift Information8-hour shifts1st shift: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm2nd shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pmSaturday and Sunday are part of the required work schedule with 1 to 2 days off during the weekSanitation technicians are on a rotating schedule to have a weekend offMust be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as neededPlant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:Responsible for Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and managing sanitation activitiesOperate scissors and boom lift while doing MSS.Operate floor scrubber to clean and scrub the floors.Operate carboard baler, trash, and bakery feeds compactor.Operate COP tank for equipment parts and dip tank for the platescleaning of spiral freezer and using pressure washer machineClean outside surface of the silo.Understanding and following required programs, audits, fumigations, and documentationResponsible for proactive pest control inspections/documentation as a back up to Sanitation LeadSafe operation and maintenance of sanitation equipment, such as floor scrubber, COP tank, chemical foamer and industrial vacuum systemResponsible for the maintenance of inside and outside facility/offices/groundsCleaning and sanitation of the production lines, production and warehouse facilityTimely and accurate completion of required inspections/documentationSafe operation of forklift and skid loaderParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceAssist in training new employeesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GEDExperience in a manufacturing/production environment preferredExperienced working with chemicalsMinimum of 3 years sanitation experienceMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSManufacturing or production experienceELIGIBILITYApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER (EOE)General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
