Job Title: ClerkOverview summarySummit Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to provide administrative and clerical support to daily operations. This role involves a combination of administrative and warehouse responsibilities, including processing shipping and receiving documentation, checking drivers in and out, preparing bills of lading, and maintaining accurate records in the warehouse management system (WMS). The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Job Details

• Location: Lockport Areas
• Type: Contract-to-hire
• Pay Range: $18.75 – $19.75/hour

• Check drivers in and out of the facility, ensuring all required paperwork is completed accurately.
• Process and send ASNs (Advanced Shipping Notices) according to customer requirements.
• Prepare and manage all shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Prepare shipping documentation for LTL shipments.
• Unload merchandise and verify shipments against delivery documents for accuracy.
• Perform accurate data entry into WMS or other warehouse information systems.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Provide clerical support to the distribution team and assist with other administrative duties as assigned.

• Previous clerical, administrative, or office experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills; experience with WMS or ERP systems highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or distribution preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Positions available on 1st & 2nd shifts .
