Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing critically ill patients and have a strong background in trauma and pediatric emergency care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival to ensure timely interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedural sedation according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond effectively to emergent situations.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active MI RN license (pending licenses with ETA acceptable).
• Possess required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS, ENPC, NIH, and TNCC.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level I trauma ER experience.
• Demonstrate experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Prefer candidates with EPIC charting experience and procedural sedation background.
• Able to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and three weekends per 4-week schedule.
