Mechanical Engineer

You will be the technical backbone for our mechanics, bridging the gap between daily repairs and long-term reliability improvements. Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical resource and mentor for a team of eight mechanics on the manufacturing floor. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve recurring mechanical issues to drive long-term equipment reliability. Manage and execute mechanical capital projects ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Handle critical administrative tasks, including ordering parts, managing warehouse inventory, and developing Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering and maintenance leadership, to optimize production alignment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 3 years of hands‑on mechanical engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven experience providing direction, support, or mentorship to mechanics or contractors. A strong track record of managing capital projects and taking true ownership of process improvements. Familiarity with large‑scale industrial equipment such as high‑horsepower motors, hydraulics, piping, and bearings.
