Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Adult Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

The Adult Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide critical care respiratory services in a dynamic hospital environment. This is a night shift position requiring 3 shifts per week, with holidays and every other weekend required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to adult patients, including those in critical care settings.
• Assist in the treatment of patients with complex cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Participate in emergency team activation as required.
• Administer therapies such as ECMO, IABP, and Impella support.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient care activities utilizing Epic charting system.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience required.
• Current NBRC RRT certification is mandatory.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license must be obtained prior to start date.

The role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those in cardiovascular and medical-surgical intensive care units as well as other acute care settings.

Additional Information:

• Orientation will be conducted during day shifts initially.
• Floating may occur within the scope to meet facility needs, primarily to the main adult hospital.
• Hurricane season runs from June through November, and employees may be assigned to emergency response teams as necessary.
• Parking is available on-site with a one-time fee for a parking pass during nights and weekends.
