Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department with mixed/shared acuity levels at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform mandatory phlebotomy and IV placement as required competencies for all RNs in this role
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and continuous IV paralytics
• Administer blood products, manage central lines, and support procedural sedation administration
• Provide care for CVA patients and apply appropriate isolation precautions
• Float to other units when census warrants

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license required at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• BLS , ACLS , PALS , and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Minimal time-off requests; candidates with more than 10 days of requested time off may not be eligible for submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Proficiency with procedural sedation and IV vasopressor management in a high-acuity emergency setting
• Strong familiarity with isolation precautions and CVA patient management protocols
