Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7pm - 7am Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience License: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Epic experience - Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills - Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively - Detail-oriented in the examination of clinical and numerical data Description: The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures. The primary purpose is to monitor and evaluate patient functional status. The nurse completes assessments and individualizes plans of care within established unit/nursing guidelines. They carry out nursing care with consideration for cultural and psychosocial factors. The nurse organizes, prioritizes, and performs nursing skills appropriate for the patient population. They anticipate patient and unit needs effectively. Demonstrates a sound knowledge base in bio-psychosocial aspects. Delegates and communicates effectively and appropriately. Demonstrates professional judgment in response to changing patient and unit situations. Documents the steps of the nursing process on the appropriate record. Records data concisely, consistently, accurately, and legibly. Utilizes correct medical terminology and abbreviations. Addresses problems and progress toward outcomes according to unit/nursing policy. Facilitates patient education during discharge. Makes timely and appropriate referrals. Utilizes resources in planning and presenting patient education, considering age and cultural factors. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate. Supports unit goals through performance improvement and educational activities. Attends mandatory in-services and meets education standards. Accurately completes variance reports. Demonstrates independent judgment in planning operations and making minor decisions. Works directly with patients and customers. Engages with internal and external customers. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
