Planner – Colorado Springs, CO Varstaff is searching for a Planner in Colorado Springs, CO. Job Overview As a Planner you will learn and assist with planning and scheduling the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related materials through our production and inventory process to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials. You will assist with troubleshooting potential scheduling problems, tracking production and material deficiencies, and implementing the master production plan through the material management system to execute the program and product life cycle. Physical, Mental, and Emotional Requirements Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps. Frequently repeat the same hand, arm, and finger motions many times to include finger and hand dexterity. Rarely lift or carry up to 20 lbs. Working Conditions Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.). Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Rarely exposed to loud noises. Required Skills and Experience Exposure to the engineering change process Basic understanding of master production planning Familiarity with applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications Preferred Skills and Experience Experience in Supply Chain Management and /or Operations Management Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) Understanding of Unified Commercial Code (UCC) Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and /or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the U.S. Department of Defense or U.S. Military Education Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 0‑2 years of relevant experience.
