InfraHire is hiring for an Estimator in Columbia, TN:
- Review project requests and interpret drawings/specifications for residential and commercial glass projects.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, including calculations for material, labor, and time requirements.
- Obtain pricing from suppliers and create detailed proposals for clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, installers, and office staff to ensure estimates align with production capabilities and timelines.
- Update estimates as project scopes change and maintain organized records of bids.
- Support customer communication to clarify project details, answer questions, and explain costs.
- Utilize spreadsheets, measuring tools, and job costing software to prepare and document estimates.
- Apply knowledge of glass products and installation methods, including glazing, shower enclosures, window repair, and architectural applications.
- Ensure accuracy, safety, and prioritization of multiple bids and deadlines.
- Maintain strong communication and customer service skills for presenting estimates and coordinating with internal/external stakeholders.
- Leverage at least 5 years of construction experience, including construction estimating and blueprint reading.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; technical training in construction, drafting, or project management is a plus.
- Previous experience in construction or glazing industries preferred; estimating experience in glass/building industry is a plus.
