A rapidly growing Southern California company in the manufacturing/distribution space is seeking a hands on, highly driven Accounting Manager to build and lead its accounting function from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in fast moving environments, enjoys creating structure where none exists, and wants to have a real seat at the table as the business scales.

This is not a plug-into-an-existing team type of role. There is currently no formal internal accounting department, and this person will play a critical role in transitioning accounting operations from an outsourced model to a fully internalized function over time. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable operating independently in an entrepreneurial environment.

WhatYoullBeDoing:

• Buildandestablishtheaccountingdepartmentfromscratch,includingprocesses,workflows,controls,andreportingstructure
• Partnercloselywiththeoutsourcedaccountingfirmduringthetransitionperiod,withthelong - termgoalofbringingaccountingfullyin -house
• Ownday-to- dayaccountingoperations,bookkeeping,month - endclose,reconciliations,payrollcoordination,andfinancialreporting
• Developscalableaccountinginfrastructuretosupportrapidcompanygrowth
• Workcross- functionallywithleadershipandoperationalteamstoimprovevisibility,organization,andfinancialprocesses
• Manageinventoryandcostaccountingfunctionsrelatedtomanufacturing/distributionoperations
• Helpcreateamoreorganized,process - drivenfinancialenvironmentwhilemaintainingflexibilityinafast -pacedculture
• TraveltotheLakeElsinoreheadquartersapproximatelyeveryotherweekforvisibilityandcollaboration

WhatTheyreLookingFor:

• BachelorsdegreeinAccounting,Finance,orrelatedfieldrequired
• 5+yearsofaccountingleadershipexperienceinmanufacturing,retail,ordistributionenvironments
• Experiencebuildingorrebuildingaccountingprocessesandinfrastructure
• Strongunderstandingofinventoryaccountingandoperationalaccountingworkflows
• Abilitytoworkindependentlywithminimaloversight
• Someonewhoisproactive,adaptable,andcomfortableinanevolvingenvironment
• Creativeproblemsolverwhocanfigureitoutandkeepthingsmoving
• ExperiencewithQuickBooks,Xero,orsimilarERP/accountingsystemspreferred
