This position reports to: Procurement Manager

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Athens, TN

Your role and responsibilities

In this role as Warehouse/Internal Logistics Supervisor, you will be the main point of contact for an essential part of the supply chain process, in charge of maintaining safety standards to ensure that products are delivered safely and efficiently to our customers.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce OSHA, DOT, and internal safety regulations. Ensure all equipment (e.g., forklifts) is properly maintained and employees follow safe handling protocols, AND Management & Delegation: Ability to train, orient, coach, and schedule warehouse staff while resolving interpersonal conflicts.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory of Finished Goods, conduct regular physical audits, track incoming/outgoing shipments, and minimize loss or damage, AND Logistics & Transportation Management: Strategically plan and manage the flow of goods and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Warehouse Operations: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Optimize floor layout to maximize space and efficiency, AND Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels to prevent costly production delays and avoid tying up too much capital in excess inventory.
  • Demand Forecasting: Analyzing sales data and production schedules to determine material requirements, AND Procurement & Vendor Management: Generating purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and tracking supplier performance.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor degree PLUS minimum 1 year experience in warehouse distribution, shipping, or manufacturing supervision OR Associate degree PLUS minimum 2 years related experience, OR HS diploma/GED PLUS minimum 4 years related experience
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and MRP/ERP purchasing software.
  • SAP experience, preferred
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
