Medical Physicist

Medical Physicist - Lewiston, ID The Medical Physicist will perform duties pertaining to treatment machine calibration, dosimetry, treatment planning, and monitoring of radiation received by employees. He/she will also have responsibilities in helping with simulation of patients and teaching therapists in areas of dosimetry and computer planning and supervises the Medical Dosimetrist. Minimum requirements (must haves to be considered): Board Certified in medical physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) preferred Prior experience in radiation oncology required Work conditions/hours: Normal hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. However, schedules may vary in accordance with business necessity. Minimal exposure to radiation. Lifting will be required from time to time, i.e., transporting of patients. Will be required to walk to the main Medical Center building when needed for C.T. scans or implant therapy. Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes, (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or speaking with others; and (c) respond appropriately to constructive feedback from a supervisor.
