Nonprofit Grant Researcher and Writer

Youth Assistance Coalition (YAC) is a growing nonprofit looking for volunteers who are familiar with the grant writing process to join our grants team. We have been funded strictly through donations to date and are beginning to explore and tap into foundation and other public grants. As a member of the grants team, the volunteer will assist the full range of activities required to prepare proposals and grant applications and perform administrative work researching, identifying, developing and responding to grant opportunities. Ideally, we are looking for highly organized individuals with the ability to implement systems and follow up processes. The grant researcher/writer is expected to possess excellent written, verbal and communication skills. Graduate students and Interns are encouraged to apply.

Other requirements include:

• Identifies funding opportunities to match the organizations vision and funding strategy utilizing available research tools
• Collaborates with other members of the team to complete grant applications, proposals, letters of inquiry and other required documents
• Assists in maintaining grant calendar and database to track submitted, pending and on-going proposals
