About the Position

Job Title: IMC/ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS Must-Have: Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. ICU experience required. Cerner charting system experience required. Candidate must pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Description: Looking for an experienced IMC/ICU Registered Nurse. The nurse will work in both the IMC and ICU units. Float to Medical Surgical and Emergency Department as needed. Every other weekend work is required. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients. Daily census is approximately 9 patients. Patient ratios are 4:1 for days and nights. Additional responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and caring for ventilated patients. Candidates must manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration. Experience with high flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols, and telemetry is necessary. In addition to clinical skills, effective communication and teamwork skills are essential. Willingness to float between units is required. No requested time off is permitted in the first two weeks of the assignment. Submit two supervisory references supporting the required experience.
