You may qualify at the GS-09 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience is defined as: (1) assisting with building management activities, such as receiving and tracking facility-service requests; (2) supporting facility inspections; and (3) coordinating routine maintenance, repair, custodial, or other building-support services. You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience is defined as: (1) performing building management activities, such as coordinating facility-service requests, maintenance, repairs, and inspections; (2) identifying and reporting building deficiencies; and (3) communicating building-service requirements with occupants, customers, contractors, or service providers. You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience is defined as: (1) managing building operations and support services for assigned facilities; (2) coordinating maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service-provider actions; (3) resolving building-related operational issues; and (4) advising customers or management on facility requirements and deficiencies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
