Make a positive impact supporting high school students’ academic and personal success in a contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position is located near Newark, NJ, and offers the chance to collaborate with a dedicated team of educators and professionals in a dynamic educational environment.

If you are passionate about helping students thrive, you’ll provide vital school psychology services for a caseload of approximately 35-45 high schoolers. From conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations to counseling and supporting IEP teams, your expertise will help shape effective supports and student well-being.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey School Psychologist certification (required)
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments in educational settings
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to connect effectively with high school-aged students, staff, and families
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous school-based psychology experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver psychological evaluations and assessments for students, interpreting data to inform educational programming
  • Provide individual and group counseling as part of students’ IEPs
  • Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a supportive, inclusive school culture
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings, offering input on student needs and appropriate supports
  • Maintain well-organized records and ensure timely completion of reports and required documentation

This contract runs from September 2, 2026, through June 18, 2027, with standard hours of approximately 7:55am - 2:31pm for about 32.5 hours per week. Interviews will be conducted virtually.
