Title: Power Generation Electrical Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000, 15% - 20% bonus, 401k, PTO, relocation

Job Responsibilities:

Provide electrical engineering support across a fleet of power generation facilities to ensure safe and reliable operations
Lead implementation of engineering standards, programs, and best practices
Support plant outages, including planning, execution, and post-outage analysis
Manage electrical upgrade projects, including scope, execution, and contractor oversight
Serve as technical liaison between plant teams and corporate engineering leadership
Act as technical lead for third-party testing and maintenance contractors (transformers, battery systems, protective relays, and associated circuitry)
Provide guidance on electrical testing, maintenance strategies, and system reliability improvements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power focus preferred)
7-10+ years of experience in power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial environments
Experience performing electrical system studies.
Working knowledge of NERC compliance and regulatory standards
Familiarity with electrical maintenance and testing practices for HV/MV/LV systems
Experience managing contractors and/or internal teams on technical projects
