Speech Therapy - Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week long-term care (LTC) assignment with a schedule of 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, primarily working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with 24 guaranteed hours weekly. Hours may flex based on patient census and facility needs. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders while ensuring compliance with state and federal long-term care regulations. Candidates must be comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and providing patient-centered therapy within a skilled nursing environment. Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ year of current LTC SLP experience highly preferred
- Active Michigan Speech Language Pathologist License required
- BLS Certification (AHA) required
- Strong knowledge of skilled nursing facility regulations, procedures, and long-term care guidelines required
- Must be willing to complete medical screening and fingerprinting within 2448 hours if offered

Procedures and Responsibilities include speech and swallowing evaluations, cognitive assessments, dysphagia management, individualized treatment planning, communication therapy, speech rehabilitation, patient and family education, interdisciplinary collaboration, EMR documentation, discharge planning, compliance with infection control standards, maintaining resident confidentiality, participation in emergency response procedures, and adherence to all state, federal, and facility policies related to long-term care rehabilitation services.
