Your Responsibilities:

• Start your shift by receiving a comprehensive shift report to ensure seamless care continuity.
• Assume leadership by coordinating the care of residents with appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accountability by accurately counting narcotics with the off-going nurse.
• Adhere to facility, state, and federal regulations while administering scheduled medications.
• Perform scheduled treatments, wound assessments, and documentation as per facility policy.
• Document vital information on residents, including 7-day assessments for MDS documentation, alert charting, monthly summaries, and incidents/accidents.
• Participate in admission assessments, transfers, deaths, physician orders, and prepare for physician rounds.
• The 11 pm - 7 am nurse is responsible for neighborhood medication sheet re-caps.

Your regular attendance is essential to our team's success. Communicate resident or staff issues to appropriate personnel. Attend meetings and in-services as required.

Requirements:

• Education: Completion of a Practical Nurse Program. Completion of a Registered Nurse program.
• Experience: One year of experience in a nursing environment. Three years of experience in geriatric nursing, preferred.
• Professional Membership, Licensures, Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of PA. Registered Nurse in the state of PA.
