Capital Markets & Finance Attorneys – Associate and Senior Associate / Of Counsel

Location: New York City

Position Type: Full-Time (In-office 4–5 days per week)

Compensation: $165,000–$225,000, depending on experience and position

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and growing New York law firm seeking two experienced attorneys to join its Capital Markets and Finance Group at the Associate and Senior Associate / Of Counsel levels.

Our client is a sophisticated, well-established law firm representing clients ranging from early-stage companies and public agencies to Fortune 100 companies. The firm combines BigLaw-level experience with the flexibility, creativity, and personalized service of a smaller, collaborative platform.

The firm's Capital Markets and Finance Group represents financial institutions, governmental entities, investment funds, and corporate clients in sophisticated financing transactions. Both opportunities also involve supporting the firm's Public Finance Group.

Available Positions

1. Associate – 3–5 Years of Experience

• 3–5 years of continuous law firm experience at a well-regarded firm.
• Experience in at least two of the practice areas listed below.
• Salary: $165,000–$185,000 , commensurate with experience.

2. Senior Associate / Of Counsel – 5+ Years of Experience

• 5+ years of continuous law firm experience at a top-tier firm.
• Experience in at least two of the practice areas listed below.
• Ability to manage transactions, develop client relationships, and mentor junior attorneys.
• Salary: $190,000–$225,000 , commensurate with experience.

Relevant Practice Areas

Qualified candidates must have experience in at least two of the following:

• Structured finance and securitization
• Public finance
• Commercial lending
• Fund finance
• Mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex financing and transactional documents.
• Advise clients on financing transactions from term sheet through closing.
• Structure and document joint ventures and investment transactions.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on sophisticated transactions.
• Manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
• For senior-level candidates, develop client relationships and supervise and mentor junior attorneys.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Strong transactional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, responsive legal services.

Compensation and Benefits

• Associate: $165,000–$185,000
• Senior Associate / Of Counsel: $190,000–$225,000
