Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT-4

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages, checks shipments for conformance to FedEx delivery service features, provides coverage on all assigned routes within the station's service area, and performs related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education High school diploma/GED. Minimum Experience Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. At least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials. Job Conditions Neat appearance required for customer contact. Must meet and maintain federal motor carrier safety regulations, obtain a valid driver’s license as per state requirements, and maintain a good driving record. Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe operation. Preferred Qualifications Starting Pay $23.42. Schedule Monday – Friday. Various hours/shifts.
