About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience preferred License: Valid Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: Strong Neuro experience Ability to circulate all cases Description: Looking for a Registered Nurse with strong experience to circulate cardiac and transplant cases. Experience in multiple service lines, including Cardiac and Robotics, is preferred. This role requires the ability to circulate all types of surgeries. Candidates with first-time travel experience are welcome to apply. Must be open to working in a high acuity academic environment. The patient population includes orthopedic sports, minimally invasive arthroscopic and laparoscopic cases, robotics, general, gynecological, urological, and plastics. Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is a plus. The work environment is very busy, with high patient acuity. Daily census in the operating room is expected to be between 50-75. Candidates may need to undertake charge duties occasionally. Cross-training in multiple specialties will be required if there is a low patient census. Other duties may include setting up rooms for the next day's cases. Candidates should be prepared to handle cardiac cases if necessary.
