Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a positive impact supporting students with special needs in a contract special education teaching role for the 2026-2027 academic year. Two full-time positions are available: one at the elementary level and one at the high school level. Both roles begin in August 2026 and extend through June 2027, offering the flexibility and energy of working in a dynamic school environment near Newport, NH. This is a great opportunity for educators passionate about creating inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning experiences.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience or certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Understanding of diverse learning needs and differentiated instruction
- Strong collaboration skills with general education staff and support teams
- Organized approach to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Clear and empathetic communication with students, parents, and colleagues
- Dedication to fostering a positive classroom environment
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on IEPs
- Provide targeted instruction and support for students’ academic, social, and behavioral development
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, caregivers, and administrators
- Support transition planning and case management for students
- Track student progress, maintain required documentation, and participate in parent meetings
- Adapt materials and strategies to accommodate each learner
These full-time roles offer consistent weekly schedules (32-37.5 hours, Monday through Friday) and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference during the full school year. As more job specifics become available, details will be updated.
