Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 9 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Missouri Health Care and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Missouri Health Care.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - No locals within 50 miles. - Clinicians who live within 51-75 miles from the facility will be considered local.

Unit Details: - Adult overflow unit serving admitting teams including neurology, internal medicine, family medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, and oncology. - Diagnoses include diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal disease, orthopedic fractures, and neurological deficits. - Adult medical-surgical patients age 16 and older. - General floor care procedures and skills include IV therapy, labs, nasogastric tubes, wound care, assisting physicians with bedside procedures, and conscious sedation. - Charge duties as needed.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - 50% of holidays on contract. - Call required.

Floating Requirements: - Float within the Med/surg service line.
