Payroll Supervisor
Under the direction of the Controller, the Payroll Supervisor is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all district employees and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Essential duties include supervising and coordinating all aspects of the payroll process, working closely with the human resources department, creating and balancing retirement reports, completing year-end payroll reporting functions, preparing and filing state and federal payroll tax returns, resolving payroll related questions, calculating payroll changes, implementing payroll related IRS regulations, ensuring compliance with child support agencies, monitoring schedules, calculating retro payments, working with benefits staff, recommending contract language changes, implementing improvements to payroll systems, coordinating with other stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, organizing and managing a filing system, and performing other duties as assigned.
