Principal Associate, Content Designer - Discover Customer Experience

• Combine content design expertise with customer and business understanding to co-create innovative solutions to complex problems
• Craft compelling, accurate, and accessible digital content experiences
• Create content audits, taxonomy and terminology lists, content guidelines and patterns, content governance models, and microcopy
• Develop content for websites, user interfaces, emails, push notifications, and chatbot responses supporting end-to-end user flows
• Champion customers through the design process using data, research insights, scalability, technology constraints, and feedback
• Facilitate design process activities with teams and partners, balancing customer needs and business goals
• Build understanding of technology and data capabilities and emerging technologies to inform work and identify opportunities
• Foster partner relationships, collaborate across perspectives, influence outcomes, break down silos, and gain alignment
• Present work to audiences across levels and job functions, articulating insights and design decisions

Requirements At least 3 years of experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing Strong portfolio demonstrating process, results, and impact Strong writing and deep expertise in user experience design Experience using appropriate content design tools, platforms, frameworks, and design systems Preferred: 4+ years of experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing Preferred: 4+ years of experience working with and contributing to an established design system Preferred: 4+ years of experience collaborating with product, technology, and business partners Preferred: 3+ years of experience working with and contributing to an established design system Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma Experience working in heavily regulated, data-heavy problem spaces Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in content design and strategy, with a strong focus on user experience and the ability to create compelling digital content across various platforms.
