Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Rotating weekends every 3 to 4 weeks | No on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment to patients in an acute care cardiac setting, including ICU/CCU
• Work with patients who have undergone open heart surgery, TAVR, and LVAD implants
• Collaborate closely with hospitalists, case managers, and nursing staff using facility communication platforms
• Manage a caseload independently, including potential sole PT coverage on weekends
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech EMR
• Demonstrate strong attention to patient safety and participate in high-level coordination and communication throughout the day

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas (or eligibility)
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience, including ICU/CCU
• Experience working with LVAD, Impella, Balloon Pump, and cardiac surgery patients
• Ability to function independently as the sole PT on weekends when applicable
• Strong time management, attendance reliability, and professional communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Wound care experience; CWS (Certified Wound Specialist) or board certification in wound care is a plus
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience in a small hospital or specialty cardiac care environment
