Maintains interpersonal environment that provides warmth and affection to all children equally, fosters self-esteem, respect for others, and independence, and provides for individual differences and abilities. Establishes good communication with parents. Assists teacher, supervisor, and/or aide in carrying out daily activities. Participates in self and school evaluations. Helps supervise children during education and play activities meeting their needs for attention, guidance, and safety. Assists teacher, supervisor, and/or aide in leaving center cleaned, materials put away, and rooms locked. When requested, stays with teacher, supervisor, and/or aide until all children are picked up. Reports to teacher, supervisor, and/or aide. In charge of setting up activities & supplies before the students arrive. Helps with tutoring club when necessary. Attends Kids Club meetings and training when applicable. Qualifications High school student in good standing. Some experience with children preferred; especially Child Development classes. Exhibit flexibility, creativity, and willingness to learn. FLSA: Hourly.
