Customer Service Specialist

At Critical Infrastructure Holdings, the Customer Service Specialist plays an important role in supporting customers across the pipeline maintenance and cleaning process. This position helps manage customer orders, coordinate product and equipment needs, respond to service-related questions, and ensure communication flows smoothly between customers, internal teams, manufacturing, and field support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, follow-through, and strong customer relationships are essential. Core Responsibilities Order Management & Quoting : Process inbound customer requests for pipeline cleaning tools, pigs, tracking equipment, and related products. Prepare accurate quotes based on pipe size, project scope, operating requirements, and customer specifications. Customer & Technical Support : Serve as a primary point of contact for customer questions related to product selection, tool sizing, equipment operation, launch and receive considerations, and general project support. Manufacturing & Internal Coordination : Work closely with production, assembly, sales, and operations teams to monitor order status, communicate customer requirements, and help ensure products are completed and delivered on schedule. Post-Sale Service & Follow-Up : Provide support after the sale by following up on deliveries, confirming customer satisfaction, addressing questions or concerns, and helping maintain strong customer relationships. Customer Relationship Development : Support ongoing customer engagement through phone calls, in-person site visits, proactive follow-ups, and new business outreach. Sales & Service Support : Assist with sales and customer support for core service offerings, including caliper tools, Scan 360TM services, Speed Control Pig services, and related pipeline maintenance solutions. Documentation & Communication : Maintain accurate records of customer requests, quotes, order details, project requirements, and follow-up activity to support clear communication across the organization. Key Qualifications & Skills Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with pipeline terminology (pig launchers/receivers, ILI tools, scraper pigs, poly pigs, bypasses). Technical Aptitude: Ability to read assembly drawings, interpret pipeline specifications, and understand dimensions/tolerances. Communication : Exceptional verbal and written skills to translate client requirements clearly to manufacturing and field teams. Software Proficiency : Experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) for inventory and order tracking, along with standard office suites. Typical Working Conditions 50% Office Based & 50% Travel Based Frequent collaboration with warehouse, assembly, and field technicians.
