Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

This position involves operating a metal shear to break down 4' sheets of 24 & 26 gauge steel into 5" strips, producing various colors of flashing for a large client. The ideal candidate should be organized and a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Operate a metal shear to process steel sheets into strips.
• Ensure production of various colors of flashing as required.
• Maintain organization and efficiency in tasks.
• Collaborate within a team environment and multitask to accomplish assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

• Comfort with general labor tasks.
• Experience with HVAC and sheet metal parts preferred.
• Ability to use or willingness to learn to use a sit-down forklift (Hyster).
• Safety awareness when working with sheet metal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to use a forklift, with training provided.
• Capability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Work Environment

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm, in a warehouse setting with four employees. The role involves independent work at the end of the warehouse, with a focus on safety and precision.

This is a Contract position based out of Lakewood, WA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
